Ellen Kanner
Partner, Chief Compliance Officer
Ellen Kanner is a partner and Chief Compliance Officer, overseeing the funds’ various legal and regulatory issues. Ellen joined Alternative Investment Group in January 1997.
Prior to joining Alternative Investment Group, Ellen worked at Citicorp, N.A., in the Distribution Finance department, from 1991 to 1995. Before Citicorp, Ellen worked for Presentations, Inc., a marketing consulting firm, providing marketing guidance as well as new business development proposals (1989 to 1990). Prior to Presentations, Inc., Ellen was an independent management consultant, developing internal procedures, contingency plans, and accounting structures for small businesses from 1985-1989. From 1981 to 1984, she worked as a Special Sales Manager for Holt, Rinehart and Winston publishers where she cultivated untapped book markets through non-traditional sales venues.
Ellen holds an A.B. from Vassar College and an M.B.A. from The Stern School, New York University.
